[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시와 LG전자, 인제대학교가 지역 물류인재 양성과 스마트공장 보급 확산을 위해 힘을 모은다.
김해시는 3일 LG전자, 인제대학교와 함께 김해 중소·중견기업의 제조·물류 혁신을 위한 산관학 협력 협약을 체결했다.
이날 창원 소재 LG스마트파크에서 만난 홍태용 김해시장과 류재철 LG전자 H&A사업본부장(사장), 전민현 인제대학교 총장은 김해의 산업과 도시, 대학의 발전을 위해 물류인재 양성 현장캠퍼스 운영과 대중소 상생형 스마트공장 보급에 상호 협력체계를 유지하기로 약속했다.
김해시는 인제대학교 ‘스마트 물류학과’ 지원과 LG전자와 협업을 통한 물류 혁신사례 벤치마킹, LG전자의 스마트공장 운영이 적용된 LG전자 제품의 홍보 등에 협력한다.
LG전자는 김해시와 인제대학교의 물류 전문인력 양성을 위한 사업장 활용과 교육에 협력하기로 했다.
인제대학교는 물류 혁신 현장과 연계해 물류 전문인력을 양성하고 LG스마트파크의 스마트팩토리, 스마트 제품에 대한 우수사례가 교육과정 등에 포함돼 홍보될 수 있도록 적극 지원하기로 했다.

LG스마트파크는 지난 2022년 국내 가전업계 중 처음으로 세계경제포럼(WEF)이 발표한 ‘등대공장’에 선정된 곳이다.
‘등대공장(Lighthouse Factory)’은 밤하늘에 등대가 불을 비춰 길을 안내하는 것처럼 첨단기술을 적극 도입해 세계 제조업의 미래를 이끄는 공장을 말한다.
LG스마트파크는 AI·디지털트윈 기술로 ‘지능형 공정 시스템’을 구축해 설계·개발·생산을 효율화하고 지상의 5G 물류로봇과 고공 컨베이어, 지능형 무인창고 등 ‘입체물류시스템’을 통해 실시간으로 재고를 파악하고 각종 부품을 최적의 경로로 운반하는 체계를 구축했다.
홍태용 시장은 “LG전자 생활가전의 생산기지인 LG스마트파크와의 협력은 지역 인재들에게 첨단기술이 융합·구현된 물류현장을 직접 체험하고 대학에서 배운 지식이 실제 현장에서 어떻게 적용되는지 살펴볼 수 있는 값진 기회를 제공할 것”이라며 “앞으로 LG전자와의 협력으로 지역 대학 발전과 산업 혁신, 중소기업 상생을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
