한국법무보호복지공단 서울지부(지부장 이흥수)는 신규 법무보호위원회 위촉장 전수식 및 후원기업 현판 전달식을 지난 22일 실시하였다.
이번 전수식은 공단 서울지부에 위치한 회의실에서 직원 6명이 참여한 가운데 진행되었다.

행사는 신규 위원 5명에 대한 위촉장 전수식과 후원기업 현판 전달식, 기존 위원인 문정하 위원에 대한 감사장 수여식을 가진 후, 공단 홍보영상과 자원봉사자 관련 영상 시청, 서울지부 생활관 및 식당 탐방 순서로 진행되었다.
신규 위원 중에는 다양한 문화 활동으로 잘 알려진 팝핀현준과 박애리 부부도 포함되었다.
이번 위촉장 전수식과 현판식을 통해 법무보호위원이 본격적으로 활동하기 이전에 법무보호사업과 공단에 대한 이해를 하는 기회가 되었다.
또한, 자원봉사자로서의 기본적인 역량과 사회적 책임감 강화, 위원들의 적극적 참여에 도움이 되는 시간을 가졌다.

한국법무보호복지공단은 출소자 등 법무보호대상자가 사회에 안정적으로 복귀하는 것을 지원함으로써 재범을 방지하고 이를 통해 개인 및 공공의 복지증진, 사회보호를 미션으로 하는 법무부 산하 공공기관이다.
이를 위해 대상자 숙식제공, 주거지원, 창업지원, 직업훈련 및 취업지원, 대상자 가족 지원 등을 실시하고 있다.
법무보호위원은 이러한 대상자의 안정된 사회 정착에 도움이 되는 다양한 활동을 지원하고 있다.[이기홍 기자]
