윤석열 대통령이 30일 이진숙 방송통신위원장 후보자·김병환 금융위원장 후보자에 대한 인사청문 경과보고서 송부 요청안을 재가했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
대통령실 대변인실은 이날 오전 언론 공지에서 이같은 사안을 전했다.
송부 기한은 이날까지로 이후에도 청문경과보고서가 송부되지 않을 시 윤 대통령은 이 후보자와 김 후보자를 임명할 수 있다.
대통령은 국회에서 기한 내 청문보고서 채택이 불발된 경우 10일 이내로 기간을 정해 청문보고서 재송부를 요청할 수 있고, 국회가 요청에 응하지 않으면 다음 날부터 청문보고서 없이 임명 가능하다.
이 후보자 경우 현재 청문보고서 채택 가능성이 낮아 이날 송부 요청안 재가는 본격 임명 임명 수순 절차인 동시에 대통령 몫 방통위 상임위원도 지명될 것으로 보인다. 현재 방통위는 상임위원이 한 명도 없는 기능 마비 상태기 때문이다.
