[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 전국 최고의 치매요양서비스를 제공할 수 있는 공립 치매전담형 노인요양시설인 ‘거창시니어카운티’를 12일 개원했다.
‘거창시니어카운티’는 65세 이상 노인인구의 증가에 대비한 선제적인 노인돌봄체계 구축을 목표로 신원면 구 신원중학교 폐교부지를 활용해 건립됐으며 2020년 7월 국도비 확보를 시작으로 2022년 9월에 착공해 총 20개월간의 공사 끝에 올해 5월 31일에 준공됐다.
이 시설은 연 면적 2,930㎡, 지하 1층 지상 2층 규모이다.
1층에는 치매전담실 2실과, 생활실 10실, 목욕실, 프로그램실, 면회실, 공동거실, 물리치료실, 의료간호사실, 요양보호사실이 마련되어 있으며 2층에는 간호요양센터와 공동거실, 생활실 10실, 목욕실 등이 위치해있다.
거창군에서는 시설의 전문적인 운영을 위해 역량 있는 사회복지법인을 공개모집했다.
그 결과 지난 1월 12일 창원시 소재의 사회복지법인 인애복지재단과 운영 위수탁 협약을 체결으며 운영법인은 거창군과 협력해 종사자 채용, 노인요양시설 연수, 시설 운영 계획 수립 등 개원을 철저히 준비했다.
거창시니어카운티의 시설 입소 대상은 국민건강보험공단의 장기요양등급 중 시설등급 1~5등급을 받은 어르신과 치매상병 2~5등급 어르신이다.
