대구시는 지난 17일 오후 시청 동인청사에서 대구시의사회, 대구시약사회 등 의약단체와 의료기기 판매업체, 대구지방식품의약품안전청 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 ‘필수 의료제품 수급 불안 대응 유관기관 대책회의’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의는 최근 주사기와 의약품 포장재 등 일부 품목을 중심으로 가격 상승과 공급 지연 현상이 나타남에 따라 의료 현장의 혼란을 최소화하기 위해 마련됐다.
회의 참석자들은 의료기관과 약국의 선제적 주문 증가로 단기간 수요가 집중될 경우 수급 불균형이 발생할 수 있다는 데 의견을 같이하고, 선제적 관리 필요성을 강조했다.
이에 따라 대구시는 ▲의료제품 수급 애로센터 운영 ▲적정 수요 관리 ▲민관 공동 대응체계 구축 등 ‘필수 의료제품 수급 불안 대응 3대 방안’을 추진한다.
우선 의료제품 수급 애로센터를 운영하고 종합병원을 대상으로 주 1회 재고량을 점검하는 등 상시 모니터링 체계를 가동한다. 또한 유관기관과 수시 대책회의를 열어 수급 변동 상황에 신속히 대응할 방침이다.
수요 관리 측면에서는 의료기관과 약국의 적정 재고 유지와 과도한 주문 자제를 유도해 수요 쏠림 현상을 완화한다. 아울러 주사기·주사침 매점매석 금지 고시에 따라 의료기기 판매업체 지도·점검도 강화할 예정이다.
대구시는 대구시의사회, 약사회, 대구식약청 등과 함께 필수 의료제품 수급 정보 공유 체계를 상시 운영하고, 의료제품 과잉 사용 자제와 합리적 소비문화 정착을 위한 홍보도 병행할 계획이다.
민복기 대구시의사회 회장은 “의료제품 적정 재고 관리와 상시 모니터링을 통해 대구시와 적극 협력하고 건전한 유통 질서 확립에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
이재홍 대구시 보건복지국장은 “현재 수급 불안은 다양한 요인이 복합적으로 작용하고 있는 만큼 유관기관과 긴밀히 협력해 공백 없는 필수 의료 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
