거창군, ‘승강기산업 국책연구기관 유치’ 총력

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 29일 거창군청 상황실에서 ‘승강기산업 국책연구기관 거창군 유치 타당성 용역’ 최종보고회를 개최했다.

이번 용역은 정부의 승강기 산업육성 및 진흥에 관한 정책 방향에 맞춰 산업 환경변화에 따른 거창군의 대응 방안과 향후 국책연구기관 설립에 대비한 거창군 유치의 타당성 조사를 위해 추진됐다.

이병철 부군수 주재로 열린 이날 보고회는 경상남도 산업국장 등 10여 명이 참석해 △국책연구기관 설립을 위한 환경·수요분석 △거창군 유치 타당성 및 전략 △각 기관별 역할 제시 △의견수렴 순으로 진행됐다.

거창군은 2019년 승강기밸리 산업특구로 지정됐으며, 한국승강기안전공단 승강기안전기술원, 한국승강기대학교, 승강기고등학교, 33개의 승강기 전문기업이 입주한 산업 클러스터로 국내 최대의 승강기산업 기반시설 집적지다.

이병철 부군수는 “승강기산업 진흥을 위한 국책기관 설립은 승강기산업이 지능형 미래산업으로 발전을 위한 필수적인 요소이며, 거창군이 갖고 있는 강점과 오늘 용역 결과를 토대로 국책연구기관의 설립을 정부 부처에 적극 건의하고, 성공적인 유치로 이어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
