윤석열 대통령이 2일 "중앙·지방이 함께 추석 연휴 의료 특별대책에 만전을 기해주시기 바란다"고 당부했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실에서 주재한 수석비서관회의에서 이같이 지시했다고 정혜전 대통령실 대변인이 오후 서면브리핑을 통해 전했다.
또 윤 대통령은 "의료현장을 굳건하게 지키고 계신 의료진 여러분께 감사·격려 말씀을 드린다"고 감사 뜻을 밝혔다.
앞서 정부는 추석 연휴 대비 응급의료체계를 강화키로 한 가운데하 오는 11일부터 25일까지 약 2주간을 '추석명절 비상응급 대응주간'으로 지정하고, 응급의료 전달체계 강화·응급실 진료 역량 향상·후속진료전원역량 강화 등 응급의료 관련 집중 지원 대책을 추진한다.
