광명3동 골목길, 늘빛안심길로 탈바꿈

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시 광명3동이 '늘빛안심길'로 탈바꿈했다.

도시재생 뉴딜사업 일환으로 어둡고 좁은 골목길이 안전하고 쾌적한 보행로로 박승원 광명시장, 시의회 의장, 도의원, 시의원, 지역주민 등 50여 명이 참석했다.

늘빛안심길은 정비가 필요한 골목길 10곳(오리로942번길 외 9개소)을 우선 선정해 조성한 곳으로, 총연장 600미터에 범죄예방디자인이 적용됐다.

범죄예방환경설계인 셉테드(Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, CPTED)는 취약한 환경을 개선해 범죄를 예방하는 디자인을 뜻한다.

구도심이나 좁고 어두운 골목길, 낡고 칙칙한 담장, 대문 등 취약 지역의 디자인을 밝고 산뜻하게 개선해 범행 기회를 심리적·물리적으로 차단하는 것이 목적이다.

늘빛안심길 도로면에 산뜻하고 밝은 디자인을 적용해 새로 포장하고, LED 솔라표지병, 벽부착등을 설치했다.

어두운 골목의 밝기를 개선해 범죄에 취약한 심야 시간에 보행자에게 심리적 안정감을 주고 범죄에 대한 경각심을 높이는 안전한 길로 재탄생한 것이다.

박승원 광명시장은 “여성, 노인, 아동 등 범죄 취약계층을 포함해 모든 시민이 범죄로부터 안전한 도시환경을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
