여주시, 가축매몰지 발굴 및 소멸작업

가축매몰지로 인해 발생할 수 있는 환경오염 및 민원 등을 사전에차단하기 위해 9월초부터 작업을 진행하고 있다.

2024년도 가축매몰지 발굴 및 소멸 작업은 5개소로, 이중 2개소(2020년 조류독감(AI)발생)에 대해 지난 8월 농림축산식품부로부터 매몰지 발굴·소멸허가 승인을 받았다.

시는 해당 가축매몰지를 신속히 발굴·소멸처리 하기 위해 매몰지 시료를 채취해 바이러스 검사를 진행, 검사 결과 음성으로 나왔으며, 특히 주기적으로 시 자체 및 타 부처와의 합동점검 결과 문제가 없고, 주변 토양 유실 및 오염 또한 문제가 없는 것으로 확인되었다.
