평택시, 중소벤처기업부 장관상 표창

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시는 2024년 소상공인 육성과 전통시장 활성화에 기여해 중소벤처기업부장관상을 지난달 30일 받았다.

평택시는 고물가·고금리·고환율로 인한 소상공인 경영 상황 악화에 대비해 ▲2021년부터 ‘평택시 소상공인 보호 및 지원에 관한 조례’ 및 ‘평택시 서민경제협력기금 설치 및 운용 조례’를 제정해 소상공인 경영 안정과 지역 상권 활성화에 관한 법적 근거를 마련한 바 있다.

또한 ▲2022년 8월 평택시소상공인지원센터 설립 ▲2022년 3월 평택시소상공인연합회 출범 ▲2023년 1월 행정기구 개편을 통한 전통시장팀 신설 등을 통해 보다 체계적이고 전문적인 소상공인 지원과 상권 활성화를 위한 시스템을 구축했다.

특히, 2011년부터 2024년까지 146억 원의 소상공인 특례 보증으로 지원했으며, 이자 상환의 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인에게 2024년부터 이차보전을 지원해 경영 안정에 기여하고 있는 한편, 지역화폐 사용 촉진을 위해 2022년 110억 원, 2023년 40억 원 전액 시비 확보로 소비지원금을 지급한 바 있다.
