브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT&G가 추석 명절을 앞두고 중소협력사의 부담을 줄이고 상생경영을 강화하기 위해, 결제대금 조기 현금 지급을 실시한다.
KT&G는 원‧부자재, 소모품 등을 납품하는 협력사 중 49곳에 결제대금 총 1031억 원을 정상 지급일보다 평균 한 달 이상 앞당겨 지급한다고 4일 밝혔다.
KT&G는 매년 설‧추석 등 명절에 앞서 자금수요가 몰리는 중소협력사들의 부담을 덜어주기 위해 결제대금을 조기 집행해오고 있다. 지난 설 명절에도 664억 원 규모의 결제대금을 선지급해 협력사들의 자금 유동성 확보를 지원한 바 있다.
또한, KT&G는 지난해 11월 원재료 가격 상승 시 그 상승분을 납품대금에 반영해 중소협력사의 부담을 줄여주는 ‘납품대금 연동제 동행기업’에 동참하고 있다. 협력사의 자금난 해소를 위해 납품대금을 매월 전액 현금으로 지급하는 등 동반성장을 위한 다양한 지원 제도를 운영 중이다.
KT&G 관계자는 “자금 수요가 많은 명절 기간 협력사들의 경영부담을 조금이나마 덜어주기 위해 결제대금 조기 지급을 결정했다”며 “앞으로도 실질적 도움이 되는 다양한 지원 활동을 통해 협력사와 함께 성장할 수 있는 상생의 가치 실현에 앞장설 것이다”고 말했다.
