[브레이크뉴스경기남부=오산 이현준기자] 오산시 보건소가 금연구역 관리를 강화한다.
지난 8월 17일 이후 국민건강증진법 개정·시행에 따라 어린이집, 유치원, 초중고등학교 경계 30m로 금연구역이 확대됨에 따라 관련 민원이 증가했으며 시민들의 건강에 대한 인식이 높아지며 간접흡연피해 신고가 급증하고 있다.
이에 따라 오산시 보건소는 지난 2018년 이후부터 현재까지 흡연 민원 신고 누적 데이터 및 지역사회건강조사 흡연율 데이터 등을 분석하고 이를 적용해 흡연단속 우선지역을 산출했다.
이에 따라 금연지도·단속원을 우선 배치할 예정이며 향후 금연 프로그램 운영 시에도 분석한 데이터를 활용해 원인을 분석하고 이를 통한 예방조치 또는 교육프로그램 설계 등에 적용할 예정이다.
금연구역을 위성 지도에 시각화해 민원발생 시 금연구역 경계에 대한 정확한 정보를 제공하고 관리될 수 있도록 활용할 예정이다.
고동훈 보건소장은 “금연구역 분석 데이터를 효과적으로 활용하고 실무에 적용해 간접흡연 문제나 금연구역 관리 문제를 적극적으로 해결해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
