[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시의회(의장 강정구)는 9일 시의회 본회의장에서 제251회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열어 제9대 평택시의회 후반기 상임위원회 위원 선임과 각 상임위원회 위원장을 선출하며 9월 12일까지 의사일정에 돌입했다.
이날 상임위원장 선거에서는 의회운영위원장에 이종원 의원(더불어민주당), 기획행정위원장에 김영주 의원(국민의힘) 복지환경위원장에 김산수 의원(더불어민주당), 산업건설위원장에 류정화(더불어민주당) 의원이 각각 선출됐다.
이종원 의회운영위원장은 당선 소감을 통해 “여러 의원님들과의 충분한 소통과 의견 수렴을 통하여 시민들에게 신뢰받는 의회가 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 강조했다.
김영주 기획행정위원장은 “역동적으로 변화하고 있는 평택 시민의 행정 수요에 적극적으로 대응하겠다”고 포부를 말했다.
김산수 복지환경위원장은 "소외되는 이웃이 없고 약자가 존중받는 행복한 평택시를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다“며 각오를 다졌다.
류정화 산업건설위원장은 "평택시의 경쟁력과 시민 삶의 질 향상을 위해 현장 중심의 역동적인 의정활동을 펼치겠다”고 의지를 밝혔다.

이번 임시회에서는 9일부터 12일까지 제1차 본회의를 시작으로 각 상임위에서 9일 조례안 등의 안건을 심사하고, 이후 10일부터 11일까지 추가경정예산안과 기금운용계획 변경안을 상임위와 예결위에서 심사하며 12일 제2차 본회의에서 부의안건에 대한 의결로 회기를 마무리할 예정이다.
예산안 심사 등을 위한 예산결산특별위원회 위원으로는 기획행정위원회 김혜영 의원, 복지환경위원회 김산수·이윤하·이종원 의원, 산업건설위원회 류정화·김순이·유승영 의원 총 7명이 선임됐다.
한편, 평택시의회는 예산결산특별위원회를 상설화하기로 계획하고 예산결산특별위원회 위원 선임과 위원장을 선출할 예정이다.
