용인특례시 처인구, ‘서용인IC’ 진입 교통체계 개선

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시 처인구는 이동 편의를 위한 교통체계 개선 사업을 완료했다.

삼가동 ‘서용인IC’ 진입로가 있는 삼가역에서 효자고개 방면으로 향하는 중부대로 약 800m 구간에 약 150m 길이의 유턴차로를 마련한 것이다.

구는 이와 함께 운전자 혼란과 안전사고를 방지하기 위해 교통신호기와 LED 표지판, 무인교통단속 장비를 설치했다.

구 관계자는 “시청에서 삼가역을 거쳐 효자고개로 향하는 지역은 ‘서용인IC’로 진입하는 차량과 용인대, 기흥역으로 이동하는 차량들이 서로 엉키면서 상습적으로 정체현상이 일어났던 곳”이라며 “10일부터 삼가역 인근에 개통하는 유턴차로는 ‘서용인IC’ 진입차량의 이동 거리 단축 효과와 함께 오랜 시간 고민거리였던 차량정체 현상 해소에도 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
