10일 이 도로의 개통으로 마을 주민 약 267세대의 교통 편의가 대폭 개선될 것으로 예상되며 특히, 배수불량 현상을 개선해 집중호우 시 반지하의 침수 피해를 해결하는 등 주민들의 수혜가 기대된다.
방세환 시장은 “도로공사 시행으로 관음리 지역의 열악한 교통 환경을 개선하고 기반 시설을 확충함으로써 주민들의 생활 불편 해소는 물론 광주시의 발전도 이뤄낼 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 농어촌도로 개선 사업을 추진해 균형 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
