[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시가 10일 농촌지도자용인시연합회의 단합과 역량 강화를 위한 한마음 교육 행사를 열었다.
처인구 원삼면 농업기술센터 2층 대회의실에서 열린 행사엔 이상일 용인특례시장과 김성겸 제16대 농촌지도자 회장을 비롯한 회원 등 140여명이 참석했다.
이 자리에서 각각 최우수지회와 우수지회로 선정된 백암농촌지도자회, 원삼농촌지도자회와 17명의 우수회원이 표창과 공로패를 받았다.
기념식 후 회원들은 꽃바구니를 만들며 치유농업을 체험하고 농업 현장에서 탄소중립을 실천하기 위한 교육을 들으며 유익한 시간을 가졌다.
이상일 시장은 “김성겸 회장을 비롯한 농촌지도자용인시연합회원 여러분이 농촌 발전을 위해 항상 노력해줘 감사하다”며 “용인은 많은 변화의 가운데에 있으며 그 중심에서 주축된 역할을 하는 것이 바로 농촌지도자들이다. 용인특례시가 반도체산업을 중심으로 성장하면 앞으로 인구와 기업이 늘어나고 시의 농축산물 소비도 활발해져 농가 경영 안정과 농축산업의 저변이 확대될 것”이라고 말했다.
이어 “용인시 농업기술센터는 우수한 기술력으로 다른 고장에서 벤치마킹할 정도로 농업 발전을 견인하고 있다”며 “최근 농축산업 발전을 위한 시의 의지를 담아 농림축산국을 신설했다. 농촌지도자들이 시와 긴밀하게 소통하면서 도시 발전을 위한 좋은 아이디어를 제안해주기 바란다”고 말했다.
