[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원시가 스마트도시 국제표준 인증 3차 연도 유지심사를 통과했다.
2022년 12월 영국왕립표준협회(BSI)로부터 스마트도시 국제표준 인증을 받은 수원시가 3차 연도 유지심사를 통과했다. 인증 수여식은 11일 영국대사관에서 열렸다.
스마트도시 국제인증(ISO 37106)은 국제표준화기구(ISO)에서 2018년 제정한 스마트도시 인증 표준으로 스마트도시 사업성·성숙도 등을 심사한 후 세계적인 수준을 갖춘 도시에 부여한다. 스마트도시 전략, 인프라 구성, 시민 편익 서비스 등 스마트도시 운영 전반에 대한 역량을 검증한다.
BSI(영국표준협회)가 심사·인증을 담당한다. 인증 유효 기간은 3년이고 매년 유지심사를 한다.
수원시는 9월 2~5일 시청 영상회의실에서 3차 연도 유지심사를 받았다. BIS는 서류 심사, 인터뷰, 현장방문 등으로 4개 분야 22개 항목을 심사했다. 모든 항목에서 ‘3단계’(전체 5단계) 이상 점수를 받아야 인증이 유지된다.
수원시는 이번 심사에서 ▲탄소중립그린도시 추진계획 ▲어린이 보행 중 스마트폰 사용 제한 스쿨존 사업 ▲새빛톡톡을 활용한 정책 참여·제안유도 부문에서 우수한 평가를 받아 심사를 통과했다.
수원시 관계자는 “2022년 인증을 획득한 후 2023년, 2024년 2년 연속 유지심사를 통과하며 스마트도시로서 입지를 확고히 했다”며 “지속가능한 스마트도시를 건설하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
