[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 이상일 용인특례시장은 추석 명절을 앞두고 군 관계자들을 격려했다.
12일 동원전력사령부와 지상작전사령부, 제55보병사단을 차례로 방문했다.
설과 추석 명절마다 지역 내 군부대, 소방서 등을 방문해 장병과 소방대원들을 위문해 왔다.
이날 가장 먼저 동원전력사령부를 찾은 이 시장은 전성대 사령관(소장) 등 군 관계자와 정담을 나누며 “국토방위에 헌신하는 장병들 덕분에 시민들이 안심하고 생활하고 있다"며 "노고에 감사인사를 드린다”고 말했다.
전 소장은 “이 시장님의 열정적이고 헌신적인 시정을 옆에서 늘 지켜보면서 응원하고 있다”며 “용인시가 과거와 달리 정말 놀랍게 발전하고 있다는 것을 실감하고 있다”고 말했다.
이 시장은 “추석이 끝난 주말인 21일에 김량장동 용인중앙시장 주말 상설 야시장이 오픈하고 매주 금토일 오후 4시부터 밤 9시까지 야시장이 열리는데 편하실 때 힐링도 하실겸 중앙시장을 찾으셔서 맛있는 음식도 드시고 필요한 물건도 사시면 좋을듯 싶다”고 했다.
이 시장은 이어 지상작전사령부를 방문해 강호필 지상작전사령관 직무대리(현 합동참모차장, 대장) 등 관계자들을 만나 이야기를 나눴다.
