[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원특례시의회가 수원컨벤션센터 이사장 임용후보자에 대한 인사청문회를 열었다.
지난 12일 청문회에 참여한 위원은 정종윤(위원장), 오세철, 사정희, 김동은, 이대선의원이다.
민병선 임용후보자는 경기주택공사 홍보협력관, 경기도청 보도자문관, 동아일보 편집부 차장 등을 역임했다.
먼저 인사청문특위 오세철 의원은 “대형 컨벤션시설 안전 및 도급 관리, 조직 내 실무자 구성비율 및 협력업체 현황”을 제시하고“조직 운영 개선을 위해 노력해달라”고 요청하며 취임 후 이사장의 역할을 주문했다.

사정희 의원은 “수원컨벤션센터가 마이스 산업의 굴지로서 도약, 지역경제 융성에 기여하는 컨벤션시설의 가치뿐만 아니라 시정철학을 함께 나누는 공공기관으로 자리매김하도록 만들 방안도 놓치지 않아야 한다.”고 후보자에게 당부했다.
이대선 의원은 “국내뿐만 아니라 글로벌한 지명도 상승과 그 수익 구조도 함께 확대할 방안을 계속 고민해 주시길 바란다.”고 후보자에게 당부했다.
끝으로 정종윤 위원장은 “후보자께서 청문위원들이 제시한 다양한 제언을 유념하여 수원시민과 관계자들의 기대에 부응할 수 있도록 노력해 주시기를 바라며, 수원컨벤션센터가 우리나라 마이스 산업 굴지의 하나로서 손색없이 한 단계 더 도약할 수 있도록 경영해 주시기를 바란다.”고 당부했다.
이번 인사청문회 결과는 이재식 의장에게 제출된 이후, 나흘 안에 수원시장에게 보내질 예정이다.
