브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK그룹이 태풍으로 인해 큰 피해를 겪고 있는 베트남 현지 복구를 위해 30만 달러를 지원한다.
SK그룹은 지난 16일 베트남 조국전선중앙위원회측에 성금 기탁 의사를 밝히고, 이달 중으로 지원금을 전달 예정이다. 지원금은 현재 사상자가 지속 늘어나고 있는 베트남 현지에서 구호물품 조달 및 전달, 구호활동 수행 등에 쓰일 예정이다.
최근 베트남 북부 지역은 30년만의 최악 태풍으로 기록된 ‘야기’가 휩쓸고 간 뒤 잇따른 산사태와 홍수로 피해가 눈덩이처럼 불어나고 있는 상황이다.
지동섭 SK 수펙스추구협의회 SV위원장은 “재해로 가족과 삶의 터전을 잃은 베트남 주민들에게는 어떤 말로도 위로가 될 수 없을 것”이라면서 “베트남 주민들이 하루빨리 일상으로 복귀하는데 작게나마 힘이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
