[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시의회 허경행 의장은 청소년 사이버 도박 근절을 위한 릴레이 챌린지에 동참했다.
최근 불법 온라인 게임 등 청소년을 대상으로 하는 사이버 도박 문제가사회적 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 청소년들이 온라인 게임뿐 아니라 SNS를통해 사이버 도박을 쉽게 경험할 수 있어 문제의 심각성이 커지고 있다.
허경행 의장은 “청소년을 대상으로 하는 불법 사이버 도박은 사회에 중대한 악영향을 미치는 범죄로 반드시 근절해야 한다”라며, “광주시의회 또한 청소년들이 도박에서 즐거움을 찾지 않고 건강하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있도록 정책 마련과 의정활동에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
이번 릴레이 챌린지는 서울특별시경찰청에서 시작하여 다양한 분야의 인사들이 참여하고 있다. 허경행 의장은 남양주시의회 조성대 의장의 지목으로 참여하게 되었으며, 다음 참여자로 광주시의회 노영준 의원, 황소제의원, 이주훈 의원을 지목했다.
