[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시는 ‘2024년 노인 일자리 및 사회활동 유공자 표창’에서 보건복지부 장관표창을 수상했다.

시는 ‘폐지 수집 노인 전수조사’ 부문에서 우수사례 선정 지자체로 선정돼 보건복지부 장관 표창 수상의 영예를 안았다. 전수조사 과정에서 파악된 어르신에게 기초생활수급자신청과 노인 맞춤 돌봄 서비스를 연계하고 경기주택도시공사(GH)의전세임대주택 신청을 통해 주거비 부담과 주거 안정에 기여한 점에서우수한 평가를 받았다.
시는 지난해 237명에서 173명이 증가한 410명의 폐지 수집 노인 정보를 확보, 이를 바탕으로 ▲노인 일자리 및 보건복지 서비스 연계 ▲혹서기·혹한기 안전교육 실시 및 안전용품 배부 등 폐지 수입 노인들의 삶의 질 향상에 노력을 기울이고 있다.
