전날 시청 컨벤션홀에서 열린 위촉식에는 이상일 용인특례시장과 시 관계자, 안전보안관 등 100여명이 참석했다.
25일 시에 따르면 안전보안관은 용인시 자율방재단과 의용소방대 용인연합회·서부연합회, 용인동·서부경찰서 녹색어머니연합회 등에서 시민 안전을 강화하기 위해 다양한 분야에서 활동하고 있는 회원들로 구성됐다.
이들은 앞으로 일상에서 불법주정차나 과속·과적운전, 비상구 폐쇄·물건 적치 등 시민 안전을 저해하는 각종 위반 행위를 발견해 ‘안전신문고’ 앱으로 신고하게 된다. 또 다양한 캠페인에 참여해 안전 문화를 확산하는 등 지역 안전지킴이로 활동한다.
시는 이날 위촉식에 앞서 안전보안관을 대상으로 시의 안전 정책 방향을 공유하고, 안전보안관 임무와 역할을 안내하는 교육을 진행했다. 교육에서는 위험 요소 발견 시 대처 방안을 실제 사례를 바탕으로 소개하고 안전신문고 소개와 앱 활용 방법을 안내했다.
