평택시, KOTITI시험연구원과 업무협약

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시는 KOTITI시험연구원과 미래산업 육성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

지난 24일 시청 종합상황실에서 정장선 평택시장, 이상락 KOTITI시험연구원장은 미래자동차, 수소, 기업지원 등 미래산업 분야 육성에 힘을 모으기로 했다.

협약에 따라 두 기관은 △미래자동차 기반 조성을 위한 프로젝트 발굴 등 상호 협력 △청정수소 시험평가 센터 구축을 위한 행·재정적 상호 협력 △청정수소 분야 시험, 검사, 인증을 위한 표준개발 및 운영지원 △국내외 규격인증획득 기업지원 협력 등에 대해 협력할 계획이다.

이외에도 경기 남부 과학고를 유치하면 교육 프로그램을 협력해 운영하겠다는 내용도 협약서에 담았다.

KOTITI시험연구원은 평택시에서 추진하는 청정수소 실증화 사업의 참여기관으로 2023년 12월 평택 E-mobility Center 구축 등 우수한 기술을 바탕으로 지속적인 성장을 이어가고 있다.

정장선 시장은 “탄소중립은 이제 선택이 아닌 필수”라며, 이번 협약을 통해 “친환경자동차 등 미래자동차와 청정수소 분야에서 글로벌 경쟁력을 강화하고, 지속 가능한 발전을 함께 이끌어 가자”고 말했다.

이상락 원장은 “평택시와 유기적인 협력관계 구축으로 수소, 미래자동차 등 미래산업 발전에 중추적인 역할을 하겠다”고 화답했다.
