[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시의회는 ‘제17회 청소년의회’를 개최했다.
지난 24일 시의회 2층 본회의장에서 열린 청소년의회에는 평택청소년교육의회 학생, 교사 등 42명이 참여했으며 강정구 의장, 김명숙 부의장, 이종원 의회운영위원장이 참관했다.
이날 청소년의회는 입교식, 개회식 및 본회의, 의결안건 및 수료증 전달, 의원과의 대화 순으로 진행됐다.
이날 학생들은 「평택시 청소년 방학문화체육지원카드 발급제에 대한 조례안」과 「평택시 안전한 개인형 이동장치 주차환경 조성에 대한 조례안」 2건의 안건을 상정해 제안설명, 질의 및 답변, 찬반토론, 전자투표를 거쳐 의결해 지방의회의 역할을 직접 체험했다.
또한, ‘의원과의 대화’시간에 이종원 위원장은가장 기억에 남는 조례 발의 경험, 시민들과의 소통하기 위한 노력 등 학생들의 심도 있는 질문에 그 간의 의정활동의 경험을 바탕으로 최선을 다해 답변하며 학생들과 긴밀한 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
강정구 의장은 “평택청소년교육의회 학생들을 끝으로 올해 청소년의회가 성황리에 마무리됐다”며 “앞으로도 의회에서 청소년들에게 더욱 가까이 다가가는 의회가 되도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 평택시의회는 올해 5개 학교, 161명의 학생 등을 대상으로 청소년의회를 운영했다.
