브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자가 현대자동차∙기아∙포티투닷과 협력해 IoT(사물인터넷) 플랫폼 ‘스마트싱스(SmartThings)’ 서비스 활용 분야를 SDV(Software Defined Vehicle, 소프트웨어 중심의 자동차)까지 확장한다.
삼성전자는 25일 삼성전자 서울 R&D캠퍼스에서 현대자동차그룹과 ‘삼성전자-현대차그룹 기술 제휴 및 상호 협력을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
협약식에는 삼성전자 DX부문 최고기술책임자(CTO) 겸 삼성리서치장 전경훈 사장, 디바이스플랫폼센터장 최승범 부사장, IoT개발팀장 박찬우 부사장과, 현대차∙기아 AVP본부 송창현 사장, 인포테인먼트개발센터장 권해영 상무, 포티투닷 최진희 부대표가 참석했다.
이번 협약을 통해 삼성전자는 ‘스마트싱스’와 현대차∙기아∙포티투닷이 개발 중인 차세대 인포테인먼트 시스템을 연동해 차별화된 경험을 제공할 계획이다.
먼저, 글로벌 위치 확인 솔루션인 ‘스마트싱스 파인드(SmartThings Find)’ 기술을 활용해 차량과 스마트키 위치를 확인하는 기능을 선보인다. 갤럭시 스마트폰이 있으면 차량의 4G/5G 통신망 연결 없이도 주변에 위치한 다른 갤럭시 스마트폰들을 활용해 차량의 위치를 찾을 수 있다.
