평택시, 화에어로스페이스와 투자 협약 체결

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시는 한화에어로스페이스㈜와 투자협약을 체결했다.

지난 25일 평택시청 대외협력실에서 평택 브레인시티 일반산업단지 친환경 전기추진체계 사업 관련 기업 투자 유치에 성공했다.

이번 협약은 한화에어로스페이스㈜가 평택 브레인시티 일반산업단지 내 산업시설용지(14,694㎡)에 전기추친체계 생산 시설에 투자하고 약 100명을 고용할 계획으로 지역경제 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

투자 기업인 한화에어로스페이스는 방산·우주항공 기업으로, 선박용 액침냉각 ESS(에너지저장장치)을 업계 최초로 개발해 글로벌 친환경 선박 시장도 공략 중이다. 이번 협약을 통해 브레인시티 일반산업단지에 신규 공장 설립으로 산학연 연계 및 2차전지, 수소산업분야 관련 입주기업과의 상생협력 효과는 물론 평택시 전략사업인 반도체, 수소, 미래자동차 산업 분야 외에 항공우주 등 새로운 산업 분야를 유치하여 국가경제 및 방산 산업에 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.
