[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 농촌지도자 거창군연합회(회장 문종대)는 지난 25일 거창군 폐기물매립장에서 농업 환경 개선과 지속 가능한 농업을 위한 영농폐기물 수거 활동을 전개했다.

농촌지도자 거창군연합회는 농촌 지역에서 발생하는 영농폐기물의 체계적인 수거 및 처리로 환경보호와 자원 재활용을 촉진하기 위해 영농폐기물 수거활동을 2015년부터 추진하고 있다.

이날 읍·면 농촌지도자 회원들은 농촌지역 환경오염의 원인인 농약빈병과 농약봉지, 영양제병 등 총 15톤을 수거하여 한국환경공단 거창사업소로 인계했다.

문종대 회장은 “이번 활동을 통해 지역주민들의 환경보호에 대한 인식을 높이고, 영농폐기물의 체계적 수거 및 처리로 농업 환경에 개선될 것으로 기대된다“며 “앞으로도 농업인뿐만 아니라, 지역주민들이 적극적으로 참여할 수 있게끔 농촌지도자연합회에서 지속적으로 노력하겠다“고 말했다.
