광명시, 운행차 불법개조 합동단속 실시

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시는 운행차 불법 개조ㆍ소음 합동단속을 실시했다.

지난 24일 소하동 가리대사거리에서 최근 증가한 운행차 소음 민원 해결을 위해 광명경찰서, 한국교통안전공단과 함께 했다.

이번 단속은 소음·진동관리법 상 강화된 운행차 수시점검 관련 조항에 따라 최근 증가한 배달 대행 오토바이 등의 불법 개조로 인한 소음 문제를 해결하기 위해 이뤄졌다.

시는 주요 교통소음 발생지점을 선정해 이륜차ㆍ오토바이 등을 중점으로 운행차를 불법으로 개조하거나 경음기를 추가로 설치해 주거지역에서 소음을 발생시키는 운행차를 약 2시간 동안 단속했다.

단속에 적발된 이륜자동차 소유자에게 자동차관리법에 따라 원상복구 명령 및 과태료 부과 등의 행정조치를 취할 예정이다.

양애순 환경관리과장은 “불법 개조 이륜자동차는 운전자뿐만 아니라 타인에게도 큰 위협이 된다”며 “지속적인 합동 단속을 통해 올바른 교통문화 정착과 쾌적한 주거환경을 조성하겠다”고 말했다.
