[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시는 ‘세계전쟁과 음식의 역사’라는 주제로썬 킴 작가를 초청해 '명사초청강연회'를 개최했다.
지난 24일 광주시청 수어장대홀에서 열린 강연에는 ’세계 전쟁‘이라는 비극적이고 거대한 역사적 사건을우리에게 친숙한 음식들의 탄생 배경에 대하여 문화 전파와 문화 창조의 관점에서 생생한 스토리텔링으로강연을 진행해 호응을 얻었다.
강연회에 참석한 시민은 “함께 참석한 초등학생 자녀와 함께 어려운 세계 역사를 짜장면, 돈가스 등 친근한 음식의 탄생과 연관 지어 재미있게 이해할 수 있는 값진 시간이었다”고 말했다.
시 관계자는 “역사 이야기꾼 썬 킴 작가의 재치 있는 입담을 통해 다양한 세대의 시민들이 세계 전쟁사를친숙하고도 흥미롭게 접할 수 있는 계기가 되었다”며, “앞으로도모두가 함께할 수 있는 양질의 강연과 평생교육사업을 확산해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
한편, ‘역사 스토리텔러'로 알려진 썬 킴 작가는『썬 킴의 거침없는 세계사』, 『썬 킴의 세계사 완전 정복』등의 저자로서, SBS 러브FM 허지웅쇼<히스토리 월드>, MBC 표준FM <이진우의 손에 잡히는 경제> 등 다수의 프로그램에 출연했다.
