평택시, ‘인권 보장 및 증진 기본계획’ 중간보고회

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시는 ‘인권 보장 및 증진 기본계획 연구용역’ 중간보고회를 개최했다.

지난 25일 평택시청 통합방위종합상황실에서 시의원, 관계기관, 관계 공무원 등이 참석했다.

이번 보고회는 제1차 평택시 인권 보장 및 증진 기본계획(이하 ‘인권 기본계획’) 수립 연구용역의 과업 일정에 따른 진행 상황 및 향후 연구계획을 공유하고 의견을 수렴하고자 마련됐으며, 내용은 용역기관의 연구 중간 상황 보고, 참석자의 질의응답 및 의견제시 순으로 진행됐다.

해당 연구용역은 시민 인권 의식 실태조사 및 분석을 통해 인권 도시 평택시 구현을 위한 인권 정책 비전 및 목표, 전략을 설정해 이를 기반으로 향후 5년간의 평택시 인권 정책 실행계획 수립을 위해 추진 중이며, 올해 11월 말에 준공될 예정이다.

용역의 주요 내용은 △평택시 인권 실태조사 △평택시 인권 환경 및 정책 수준 분석 △평택시 인권 정책 기본 방향과 비전 및 정책목표 설정 △연도별.분야별 세부 실행 방안 수립 △기본계획 및 세부 사업 관련 평가 모니터링 체계 구축 등으로 구성된다.

이와 관련해 지난 7월에는 시민 대상 설문조사를, 8월에는 관계 공무원과 관계기관을 대상으로 심층면담조사(FGI)를, 9월에는 전문가 자문회의를 진행했다.

시 관계자는 “평택시가 인권 도시로 거듭날 수 있도록 인권 실태조사를 바탕으로 지역 실정에 맞는 차별화된 추진 과제를 발굴하고, 전문가와 시민의 다양한 의견을 적극 반영해 실효성 있는 정책을 수립할 것”이라고 전했다.
