수원특례시의회, 정책지원관 역량강화교육

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원특례시의회는 ‘수원특례시의회정책지원관 역량강화교육’을 실시했다.

정책지원관 18명을 비롯한 의원 및 의회사무국 직원 등 50여 명을 대상으로 진행된 이번 교육은 국회의정연수원 최민수 교수, 한국산업기술원 이승환 정책지원연구소장을 초빙하여 전문 실무 교육을 위주로 27일 진행됐다.

주요 내용은 행정안전부의 정책지원관 운영 가이드라인 개정에 따른 정책지원관의 임무와역할 등 관련 직무 교육과원활한 의정활동 지원을 위한 정책지원관 소양 교육이다.

이재식 수원특례시의회 의장은 “시민과 더 폭넓게 소통하며 정확하고 체계적인 의정활동을 구현하기 위해선 정책지원관의 역할이 매우 중요하다”며, “오늘 교육이 정책지원관들에게 실질적인 도움이 되길 바라며, 우리 시의회의 정책지원 전문 핵심 인력으로서 의회와 함께성장해 나가길 바란다.”고 말했다.

아울러 수원특례시의회 관계자는 “향후에도 정책지원관 등 소속 직원을 대상으로 하는 맞춤형 전문교육을실시하여 의회사무국 공직자의 역량 강화에최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 정책지원관은 2022년 「지방자치법」 전부개정에 따라 지방의회 의원의의정활동을 지원하기 위해 도입된 전문인력으로, 주로 의정자료 수집·조사·연구 등의 직무를 하고 있으며, 현재 수원특례시의회는 총 18명의정책지원관이근무하고 있다.
