[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 정명근 화성시장이 화성시민대학에서 27일 통리장단의 헌신과 노고에 감사 인사를 전했다.
화성시통리장단협의회 주최로 열린 이번 행사에는 정명근 화성시장을 비롯해 배정수 화성시의회 의장 및 송옥주, 권칠승 국회의원, 도.시의원, 유관기관 및 사회단체장, 읍면동 통리장 등 700여 명이 참석했다.
장안면 색소폰 사전 공연을 시작으로 △유공자 표창 △명랑운동회 △노래자랑 △경품 추첨 등 통리장들의 소통과 화합을 위한 프로그램이 성황리에 진행됐다.
특히 이날 통리장단협의회 오재경 회장은 화성시 발전을 위해 애쓰고 있는 정명근 화성시장에게 29개 읍면동 944명의 통리장들의 마음을 담은 감사패를 전달했다.
정명근 화성시장은 축사를 통해 “지역사회의 가장 중요한 역할을 맡고 계신 분들이 바로 이 자리에 계신 통리장님들이라고 생각한다”며, “지역의 구심점이 돼주셔서 100만 특례시 희망화성을 위해 주민 간 화합과 소통을 이끌고 더 나아가 화성시의 밝은 미래를 함께 그려 나갔으면 한다”고 말했다.
