광명시, 외국인 자녀 보육료 전액 지원

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광명 이현준기자] 광명시는 외국인 자녀(0세~5세) 보육료를 10월부터 전액 지원한다.

광명시가 외국인 자녀 보육료를 지원하는 것은 이번이 처음이다.

지원 대상은 광명시에 거주하는 외국인 자녀 중 관내 어린이집에 재원하는 0~5세 영·유아로, 광명시 체류 90일 초과한 외국인 자녀이면 보육료를 지원받을 수 있다.

보육료는 보건복지부가 책정한 2024년 월 보육료 단가에서 경기도 지원금 10만 원을 제외한 전액을 시비로 지원한다.

나이별로는 0세 44만 원, 1세 37만 5천 원, 2세 29만 4천 원, 3~5세 18만 원이다.

시는 이번 지원에 따라 가정에서 양육 중인 외국인 아동의 어린이집 등원이 증가하고, 우리나라의 질 높은 보육 서비스를 통해 이들의 안정적인 정착에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다고 설명했다.

광명시는 10월부터 12월까지 사업을 시행한 후 본격적으로 2025년부터는 정규사업으로 운영할 계획이다.
