[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원시는 말레이시아·태국의 ITS 전문가를 초청해 국가 간 ITS 기술을 교류한다.
지난 6일 시작된 연수는 11일까지 수원컨벤션센터, 코트야드 메리어트 수원, 수원시·서울시 일원에서 열린다.
ITS 관련 강의, 문화 체험, ITS 기술 기업·현장 시찰 등으로 진행된다. 이스마일 말레이시아 ITS협회장, 통칸 태국 ITS협회장을 비롯한 두 나라의 ITS 전문가·관계자, 외신기자 등 21명이 참가했다.
7일 저녁 코드야드 메리어트 수원에서 열린 환영 만찬을 주재한 이재준 수원시장은 “이번 연수가 각국의 ITS 기술을 한 단계 성장시키는 마중물이 되길 바란다”며 “AI 신호체계, 긴급차량우선신호시스템 등 도심을 촘촘하게 연결하는 수원 ITS의 저력을 느낄 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
국토교통부와 수원시가 공동 주최하는 2025 수원 ITS 아태총회는 ‘ITS가 제시하는 초연결도시(Hyper-Connected Cities by ITS)’를 주제로 내년 5월 28일부터 30일까지 수원컨벤션센터와 수원시 일원에서 열린다.
장·차관 등 고위급 회의, 학술세션, 전시회·비즈니스 상담회, 기술시연·시찰, 시민 참여 프로그램, 공식·사교 행사 등으로 진행된다. 2025 수원 ITS 아태총회에는 20여 개국에서 1만여 명이 참가할 것으로 예상된다. 50개 기관·업체가 140여 개 홍보관을 운영할 예정이다.
