[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시의회가 교통수단(Demand Responsive Transit·DRT)인 ‘타바용’을 시승했다.
시의회에 따르면 지난 7일 용인시 관광형 수요 응답형 시승에서 유진선 의장을 비롯한 임현수, 박희정, 안치용 의원 등이 참석한 가운데, 시 미래성장전략과의 사업 관련 설명을 듣고 타바용 시승소식을 전했다.
시승은 한국민속촌 입구에서 오전 9시 30분에 출발해 기흥역 4번 출구를 거쳐 한국민속촌으로 돌아오는 코스로 진행됐다.
유진선 의장은 "수인분당선이나 시외·고속버스를 이용해 용인의 관광지를 방문하는 이용자라면 버스를 호출해 더욱 편리하게 관광지를 둘러볼 수 있다는 큰 장점을 가지고 있다. 타바용이 널리 알려져 많은 분들이 이용할 수 있기를 기대한다"고 말했다.
한편, 타바용은 기흥구 일원 주요 관광지인 한국민속촌, 경기도박물관, 백남준아트센터, 신갈도시재생사업지에서 교통거점인 기흥역, 상갈역, 신갈정류소 등을 연결하는 교통수단으로 주요 관광지와 교통거점을 편리하게 오갈 수 있도록 16곳에 정류소가 설치됐다.
이용자는 승차할 정류장에서 모바일 앱으로 탑승 인원과 목적지를 선택해 DRT 차량을 호출해 교통카드로 요금을 지불하면 된다. 버스는 평일 3대 주말 4대가 투입되며, 차량 호출이 가능한 시간은 오전 8시부터 오후 9시30분까지다.
