삼성월렛의 ‘탭 이체(Tap to Transfer)’ 기능은 갤럭시 스마트폰의 삼성월렛 사용자끼리 단말기 뒷면을 서로 맞대면 쉽고 빠른 계좌이체를 가능하게 해준다.
스마트폰에 탑재된 근거리 무선통신(Near Field Communication, NFC)을 기반으로 이체가 이뤄지며, 삼성월렛의 앱 업데이트를 통해 순차적으로 기능이 지원될 예정이다.
삼성월렛 ‘탭 이체’ 기능은 사용자의 금융 편의성을 높여준다. 계좌이체 시 수취인의 계좌번호를 물어보거나 일일이 입력하는 과정을 생략할 수 있어 시간과 노력을 단축할 수 있다. 착오 송금의 위험도 줄일 수 있다.
이체를 원하는 사용자는 삼성월렛에 등록된 계좌에 비밀번호를 입력하고 이체 금액을 입력한 뒤, 수취인의 스마트폰과 맞댄 후 지문 인식 등 보안 인증을 거치면 송금이 완료된다.

삼성전자 관계자는 “삼성월렛 탭 이체 기능은 더치페이, 중고 물건 직거래, 자녀에게 용돈을 주는 경우 등 계좌 이체가 필요한 순간에 활용할 것으로 기대된다”며 “사용자들이 삼성월렛으로 쉽게 편리한 모바일 금융 생활을 즐길 수 있도록 계좌 추가, ATM 입출금, 이체 서비스 등 일상 활용도가 높은 기능을 지속 확대하겠다”고 말했다.
