수원특례시와 행궁문화거리상인회가 주최한 이번 축제는 11일(금) 수원 화성행궁 광장 특설무대에서 열린 수원의 대표 먹거리축제인 통닭거리 축제를 통하여 지역상권에 활력을 불어넣고 수원 통닭거리가 지역명소로 자리매김할 기회를 마련하고자 개최되었다.
축제 주요내용으로는 ▲축하공연 ▲홍보 및 체험부스 운영 ▲야장(야외취식) 운영 ▲플리마켓 등이 있다.
이재식 의장은 “오랜 세월 통닭이 사랑받을 수 있었던 이유는 소비자들의 입맛에 맞춰 부단히 맛을 개발하고 노력해 오신 우리 상인분들의 노력 덕분”이라며 “상인 여러분께 큰 박수를 보내드린다”고 말했다.
아울러 “시민 여러분께서 오늘 맛있게 통닭 드시면서 좋은 추억을 많이 만들어가시길 바란다”고 덧붙였다.
