브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 대한무역투자진흥공사(코트라)가 운영하는 해외취업 지원 사업인 K-MOVE 사업이 청년들을 해외 노동 착취의 현장으로 내몬 것으로 나타났다.
더불어민주당 장철민 의원실이 코트라로부터 받은 자료에 따르면 코트라는 2019년 8월 9일 외교부와 공동 주최한 취업박람회에서 한국 청년 3 명을 한국계 초밥 체인점 ‘스시 베이(Sushibay)’에 취업하도록 알선했다.
그러나 이 업체는 취업박람회 한 달 전인 2019년 7월에 노동자 22명의 임금 약 1700만 원을 체불해 제재를 받은 전력이 있다. 당시 호주 공정근로옴부즈먼(Fair Work Ombudsman)은 보도자료까지 발표해 이를 알렸다. 그럼에도 코트라는 이를 확인하지 않고 청년들에게 해당업체를 소개한 것이다.
