브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국수력원자력이 최근 5년간 507억을 주고 구매한 1만1301개 자재를 구매 가격의 8%에 불과한 39억7000만 원에 고철로 처분한 것으로 나타났다.
김동아 더불어민주당 의원실이 한수원으로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 한수원이 보관 중인 자재는 총 14만개로, 금액으로 환산하면 3조 원이 넘는다.
이 중 보관 기간이 3년 미만인 자재는 1조4657억 원, 3년 이상 5년 미만은 5465억 원, 5년 이상 10년 미만은 6651억 원, 10년 이상은 3495억 원에 달한다.
장기 보관 중인 자재는 대부분 노후화돼 매각이 어려운 상태이며, 해당 자재는 관리비와 보관비를 지속적으로 발생시켜 한수원의 재정에 악영향을 미치고 있다. 결국 시간이 지남에 따라 불용 자재로 전락하고 활용가치를 상실한 자재는 고철로 처분되는 실정이다.
지난 5년 동안 폐기된 자재 1만1301개의 구매금액은 507억 원에 달했으나, 매각 시 고철로 취급되어 원가 대비 7.8%에 불과한 39억7000만의 수익만 남겼다.
이에 대해 김 의원은 “국민 혈세로 구매한 3조 원 상당의 자재 약 14만 개가 창고에 쌓여 있는 것은 한수원 자재관리 시스템의 실패”라며 “공급되지 못한 자재를 고철로 취급해 헐값에 매각되는 상황을 납득하기 어렵다”고 지적했다.
