【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 지난 17일 주택정비전문기관인 경주지역건축사회와 개별자율주택정비 활성화를 위한 성건1지구 뉴:빌리지 업무협약을 체결했다고 18일 밝혔다.

경주시에 따르면 뉴:빌리지 사업은 노후 저층 주거지역에 주차장, 도로 등의 기반시설과 체육시설, 문화공원 등의 편의시설을 조성할 수 있도록 정부가 최대 150억을 지원하며, 기금융자, 도시·건축규제 완화 등 인센티브를 통해 민간의 자율적인 주택 정비를 지원하는 사업이다.
이번 업무협약은 국토부 주관 공모 사업에 전문성을 확보하고, 현장에서 신속하게 주택 정비를 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
두 기관은 개별 주택 건축주의 사업성 분석, 건축 행정을 대행하기 위한 지원·협력, 건축물의 사용승인 및 조사, 안전 기능 및 도시경관 향상을 위한 관련 정보 공유 등 공공복리를 강화하도록 합의했다.
이번 업무협약으로 자율주택 정비사업을 희망하는 지역민들에게 건축 전문지식과 사업추진에 필요한 서비스 제공의 토대를 마련하며, 뉴빌리지 사업 선정에 한층 더 힘을 쏟을 예정이다.
앞서 경주시는 ‘뉴:빌리지 사업’을 성건동 성건1지구 도시재생 활성화구역에 추진하기 위해 이달 국토부 공모 접수를 완료했다.
이재희 경주지역건축사회장은 “우리 지역의 입지 여건을 반영한 건축 행정을 지원하고 협력해 개별 주택 정비가 활성화 될 수 있도록 이바지 할 것”이라고 말했다.
박준석 경주시 철도도심재생과장은 “국비 공모 사업에서 신속하게 사업성을 분석하고, 전문성을 높일 수 있는 지역 기관의 참여로 공모 사업에서 반드시 선정될 수 있도록 남은 기간 최선을 다 하겠다”고 전했다.

Lee Jae-hee, the head of the Gyeongju Regional Architectural Association, said, “We will support and cooperate in architectural administration that reflects the location conditions of our region so that individual housing development can be activated.”
Park Jun-seok, head of the Gyeongju City Railway Urban Regeneration Division, said, “We will do our best during the remaining period to be selected in the public offering project by quickly analyzing the feasibility of the national public offering project and by participating in local organizations that can enhance their expertise.”
