브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 엔씨소프트가 21일 임시 이사회를 열고, 단순·물적 분할을 통해 4개의 자회사를 신설하기로 결정했다.
신설 회사는 게임 개발 스튜디오 3개, AI 기술 전문 기업 1개 등 4개의 비상장 법인이다.
독립 게임 개발 스튜디오로 신설하는 IP(지식재산권)는 TL, LLL, TACTAN(택탄) 등 3종이다. TL 사업부문은 스튜디오엑스(Studio X / 가칭) , LLL 사업부문은 스튜디오와이(Studio Y / 가칭), TACTAN 사업부문은 스튜디오지(Studio Z / 가칭)로 새롭게 출범한다.
아울러 엔씨소프트의 AI 연구개발 조직인 NC Research를 분할해 AI 기술 전문 기업을 신설한다. 신설 회사명은 엔씨 에이아이(NC AI / 가칭)다. 자체 개발한 바르코 LLM 등 AI기술 고도화를 추진하며, 게임 개발에 AI기술을 적극 활용하며 신규 사업 확장에 나선다는 계획이다.
엔씨소프트는 오는 11월 28일 임시 주주총회를 개최해 회사 분할 및 신설 회사 설립을 확정한다. 각 신설 회사의 분할 기일은 2025년 2월 1일이다.
