SM그룹은 지역방송 UBC 울산방송의 최대주주로서 방송법 위반, 소유와 경영 미분리, 방송국 자산 빼가기, 부당한 비용 절감 조치 등을 지적 받아왔다.
이 의원은 지난 7일 동행명령장을 발부했음에도 우오현 회장이 잠적한 사안을 언급하며 “우오현 회장의 출석을 요구하는 이유는 최대주주 SM 그룹에 의해 망가지는 지역방송 UBC 울산방송을 살리기 위해서다”고 설명했다.
이 의원은 △ SM그룹의 자산이 10조원을 넘어 방송법상 소유 위반 △무너진 소유와 경영 분리 원칙 △울산방송 자산을 SM 그룹 계열사로 이전 △무연고 서울 부동산 매입에 방송국 자산 동원 등을 차례로 짚었다.
