브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 북한이 우크라이나 전쟁에서 러시아를 돕기위해 파병한 가운데, 북한 군인들이 첫 전투부터 사망자가 속출했다는 주장이 나오고 있다.
우크라이나 매체 키이우포스트는 22일(현지시간), 러시아군 측 용병으로 참여한 중국인 '뎬유잔'(Dian Yuzhan)이 소셜미디어(SNS)를 통해 이 같은 내용을 담은 영상을 올렸다고 보도했다.
그는 자신의 엑스(X) 계정을 통해, 루한스크 전선에 투입된 북한군 장교 8명이 첫날 전투에서 사망했다고 주장했다.
뎬유잔은 북한 군인들에 대해 "참전하자마자 사라졌다"고 조롱하며 "평양 군인은 사나울 것이란 선입견에도 불구하고 장교 8명이 참전하자마자 '단 하루만에' 죽었다"고 했다.

김용현 국방부장관도 24일 국회 국방위원회 종합감사에 출석해 "북한군은 총알받이 용병에 불과하다"고 평가절하했다.
통상 파병이라 하면, 지휘체계와 병력 관리를 북한이 유지하고 의복 역시 자국 군복을 입고 활동하는데 비해 현재 북한군은 그렇지 않다는 이유에서다.
김 장관은 "우리 군에서 판단하는 것은 말이 파병이지, 사실상 파병이 아니라 용병이라는 표현이 더 적절하다"면서 "인민군복이 아닌 러시아 군복을 입고 있고, 아무런 작전권한도 없이 러시아가 시키는대로 움직이고 있다"고 설명했다.
이어 그는 "한마디로 김정은이 자기 인민군을 불법 침략 전쟁의 총알받이로 팔아넘긴 것이라 평가하는 것이 정확하다"고 지적했다.
그러면서 북한 용병은 월급을 받고 싸우는 개념이라며 "지금 어느정도의 보수를 받고 있는 것으로 파악한다"고 했다.
