한국법무보호복지공단 인천지부(지부장 최규삼)는 29일 인천 중구에 위치한 리움하우스웨딩홀에서 ‘제43회 아름다운 동행 결혼식’을 개최하였다.

이날 아름다운 동행 결혼식은 법무부 법무보호위원 인천지부협의회의 주최, 한국법무보호복지공단 인천지부의 주관으로 진행되었으며, 박재억 인천지방검찰청 검사장, 강선국 인천지부협의회장, 이재연 법무부 일자리우수기업 전국연합회장((주)신화산업 대표), 최규삼 인천지부장, 김종민 인천공항출입국외국인청장 및 법무유관기관장, 내빈 등 100여명이 참석하여 새롭게 출발하는 7쌍 부부의 앞날을 축복했다.
박재억 인천지방검찰청 검사장은 격려의 말씀으로 “많은 이들의 축복 속에 사랑의 서약을 맺으신 7쌍의 부부들에게 축하의 마음을 전하며 항상 행복하고 멋진 부부가 되시기를 바란다”고 하였다.
또한 강선국 인천지부협의회장은 “오늘의 약속을 잊지 말고 건강하고 따뜻한 가정을 이루기 바란다”며 신랑, 신부의 새로운 앞날을 응원했다. 이에 합동결혼식에 참여한 법무보호대상자 A씨는 “함께 살고 있지만 결혼식을 올리지 못해 아내에게 미안한 마음이 컸는데 이렇게 소중한 기회를 주셔서 감사하다”라고 화답했다.

이번 행사는 경제적 어려움 등으로 결혼식을 올리지 못한 법무보호대상자 부부에게 결혼식 지원을 통하여 행복한 가정을 이루어지는 것을 목적으로 매년 시행되었으며, 한국법무보호복지공단 인천지부는 1985년을 시작으로 올해까지 총 43회에 걸쳐 320쌍의 결혼식을 개최하여 이들의 안정적인 사회정착을 지원하고 있다.[이기홍 기자]
