한국법무보호복지공단 경기동부지소는 지난 25일 신세계의원과 법무보호대상자 의료지원 업무협약 체결을 실시하였다.

이날 경기동부지소 이승경 지소장, 이용준 팀장과 신세계 의원 김재숙 원장이 함께 업무협약식을 실시하였고, 기초건강검진 및 정밀검진 지원 사항 토의 및 기타 의약품 등 지원 관련 업무협의를 진행하였다.
이번 의료협약에 따라 신세계의원은 법무보호대상자에 대한 기초건강검진과 함께 추가적인 검진이 필요한 대상자에 대한 정밀검진 등 의료 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 되었다.
김재숙 원장은 "이번 협약으로 신세계의원이 경기동부지소 법무보호대상자의 건전한 사회복귀를 도모하는 의료 후원기관으로 자리매김하는 좋은 계기가 될 것"이라고 말했으며, 이승경 지소장은 "법무보호위원의 인연으로 시작되어, 보호대상자들의 어려움에 공감해주신 신세계의원 원장님께 감사드린다"며 "오늘의 협약을 통해 보호대상자들에게 큰 도움이 될 것을 기대한다"고 전했다.[이기홍 기자]
