나는 늘 말하지만 한국인들은 지나치게 감성적이다. 각국과의 관계에 있어 우리에게 어떻게 도움이 되는지 실익을 따지는 것도 국제 관계에 있어 필요한 부분 중에 하나다. 한국인들이 언제부터 우크라이나에 신경썼다고 이번 전쟁이 아니면 전혀 관심없었을 사람들이 이제는 우크라이나와 러시아의 전쟁에 대해 지나치게 감정적으로 접근하여 한국 내 "루스끼포비아" 및 "루스끼혐오"를 만들고 있다. 참 어이가 없는 부분이 이런 부분인데 하나 하나 따져보면 분명 우리는 우크라이나보다 러시아가 더 가까운 사이다.
역대 매체도 마찬가지고 효용성을 따지고 본다면 우크라이나보다 러시아가 더 가능성이 있는 나라다. 러시아어와 우크라이나어의 차이점도 구분 못하는 사람들이 두 나라에 대해 얼마나 안다고 국내에 전쟁과 아무 상관없는 고려인, 국내 체류 러시아인, 한국/러시아 혼혈민들에게까지 피해를 줘야 하는지 생각해보라. 우리 한국인들이 러시아 여행 및 사업 자체를 벌이고 있는 교민들이 어떤 보복 피해를 당할지도 생각해보라. 선택적 정의와 함의의 함정에 빠진 자들은 자신의 어리석은 신념 밖에 보이지 않기에 고려인이나 교민들에 대해서는 관심 밖이다.
우크라이나를 잠깐 감정적으로, 감성적으로 불쌍하게 생각할 수 있다. 그러나 국가 간의 교류와 외교의 실제는 전혀 다른 문제다. 가장 냉철하고 이성적으로 봐야 하는 것이 국가 간의 교류와 외교의 실제이다. 그리고 철저히 실익을 따져야 하는 것이다. 우리 역사에서 조선이 멸망한 이유는 세계적인 대세의 흐름을 쫓아가지 못하고 상공업을 천시했으며 뭐든지 감정적이고 실익을 따지지 못해서이다. 조선이 망한지 110년이 지났지만 아직 한국 사람들의 시야와 안목, 그리고 뭐든 감정적으로 대응하는 것은 110년전 조선 사람과 크게 다르지 않다.
지금도 러시아를 소련으로 보고 있는 시각이 1990년대, 30년 전으로 멈춰져 있는 사람이나 망국의 조선인의 시각은 크게 다르지 않다. 내가 이러한 러소포비아에 기함한 것은 역시 감정적으로 혐오하며 전쟁을 일으킨 당사자가 아닌데도 아무나 증오하는 특성 때문이다. 네오나치가 우크라이나에 있었던 것도 사실이고 한국인 선교사가 줄에 묶여 사망한 사건도 있었으며 2007년도에는 한국인 유학생이 잔인하게 살해당한 사건도 있었다. 한 때는 우크라이나 대사관 주의사항에 네오나치들에게 피해입을 수 있으니 조심해야 한다는 공지가 있었다. 우리 국민이 살해됐을 때도 가만히 있더니 이번에는 굉장히 박애주의적이다.
2007년도 사건에 대해서 우크라이나 정부에게 직접적으로 사과나 제대로 받았는지 모르겠다. 고려인들은 당신의 조상들이 내쫓은거나 마찬가지인 우리 동포다. 조선 시대 때 삼정의 문란으로 인해 엄청난 수탈을 당한 북삼도(평안도, 함경도, 황해도)의 조선인들이 관속들의 수탈을 피해 넘어간게 고려인 역사의 시작이다. 이후에도 삶이 나아지지 않아 연해주로 계속 넘어갔지만 결국 소련에 의해 강제 이주의 수난도 당했다. 이후 소련이 붕괴되면서 조선말을 잃어버린 사람들은 어쩔 수없이 러시아어를 쓴다. 그런 고려인들이 고향 국가인 한국에 찾아왔고 살고 있는 분들도 꽤 있다. 그런데 전쟁 때문에 러시아어를 쓴다고 괴롭히고 너희 나라로 돌아가라 등, 조선 시대 때 상처를 안겼던 한국인들이 또 고려인들에게 상처를 주고 있다.
우크라이나인들에게 보여줬던 박애정신은 같은 피가 흐르는 동포에게는 러시아어를 쓰고 있으니 통하지가 않나보다. 고려인은 분명 한국인의 선조인 조선인들이 수탈해서 내쫓았고 고향으로 다시 돌아온 사람들에게 러시아어 쓰고 있다고 다시 나가라고 하고 있다. 이런 어이없는 행위를 나는 선택적 정의로 규정한다. 우크라이나인들이 불쌍하지 현지나 러시아나, 한국에 와 있는 고려인들은 절대로 불쌍하다 생각하지 않는다. 선택적 정의 앞에 같은 민족, 같은 국적의 사람도 존재하지 않는다. 그저 갖고 있는 감정대로 정의를 판단한다. 자신의 선택이 진리인양, 우크라이나 전쟁에 참전하겠다고 나서는 철없는 인간들도 있다. 우크라이나가 자신들의 조국이자, 우크라이나인들이 한국인으로 햇갈리는 모양이다.
우크라이나가 정의구현을 하고 있는 나라이자 악마인 러시아와 싸우고 있는 사람들, 약소국이니 불쌍하다며 감정적으로 그들의 편에 서주고 싶은 것인데 그 이타적인 마음, 우리 대한민국에 한번 돌려보자. 내일 당장 북한이 쳐들어와도 그렇게 할 수 있는지 말이다. 자기 감정대로 움직이며 잘못된 신념이라도 그것이 곧 정의라고 규정하는 고집과 아집으로 뭉친 사람들 때문에 전쟁과 상관없는 애꿎은 고려인들과 한국에 체류하고 있는 러시아인들, 그리고 한국과 러시아의 혼혈민들이 고생하고 있다. lukybaby7@gmail.com

The same goes for all media outlets. If we look at utility, Russia is a more promising country than Ukraine. Think about how much people who can’t even tell the difference between Russian and Ukrainian know about the two countries and how they should harm Koryo-saram, Russians residing in Korea, and mixed-race Koreans/Russians in Korea who have nothing to do with the war. The history of Koryo people began when Koreans from the northern three provinces (Pyeongan-do, Hamgyeong-do, and Hwanghae-do) fled to escape the exploitation of government officials due to the corruption of the three governments during the Joseon Dynasty. Their lives did not improve after that, so they continued to move to the Maritime Province, but they were eventually forced to migrate by the Soviet Union. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, those who lost their Korean language had no choice but to speak Russian. Many of those Koryo people came to their home country, Korea, and are still living there. However, Koreans who hurt us during the Joseon Dynasty by harassing us for speaking Russian because of the war and telling us to go back to our own country are hurting Koryo people again.
The philanthropy they showed to Ukrainians doesn’t seem to work on their compatriots who speak Russian because they share the same blood. Koryo people were clearly exploited and driven out by the Joseon people, who are the ancestors of Koreans, and they are telling those who have returned to their hometown to leave again because they speak Russian. I define this absurd behavior as selective justice. I don’t think the Ukrainians are pitiful, but I absolutely don’t think the Koryo people in Korea, Russia, or Korea are pitiful. There are no people of the same ethnicity or nationality in selective justice. They just judge justice based on their emotions. There are also reckless people who say they will participate in the Ukraine War as if their choice is the truth. It seems that they are confused about Ukraine being their homeland and Ukrainians being Korean.
