치킨 브랜드 bhc도 넷플릭스 요리 경연 프로그램 <흑백요리사> 열풍에 올라탔다.
bhc는 자사 앱 이용 고객을 대상으로 11월 한 달간 인기 치킨 메뉴 4종에 대해 2,000원 할인하는 ‘흑백치킨대전’ 이벤트를 연다고 11월 7일 밝혔다. 최근 인기리에 종영된 프로그램의 서바이벌 콘셉트를 반영해 젊은 고객층에게 재미있게 다가가기 위함이다.
bhc에 따르면 재야의 숨은 고수 메뉴로 ‘단짠(단맛+짠맛)’의 밸런스가 뛰어난 ‘맛초킹’과 올해 들어와 인기가 급상승 중인 매운맛의 ‘핫후라이드’를 내세웠다, 상대편 인기 스타 메뉴로는 소스의 맛이 깊고 깔끔한 ‘골드킹’과 바삭함의 영원한 끝판왕 ‘후라이드’를 선정했다.
이번 이벤트는 ‘맛초킹’을 시작으로 ‘후라이드’, ‘핫후라이드’, ‘골드킹’ 순의 릴레이 방식으로 11월 한 달간 bhc 자사 앱에서 해당 메뉴를 배달 또는 포장 주문 시 2,000원을 자동으로 할인이 된다.
E-교환권이나 타 할인쿠폰과 중복 할인 적용은 안 되며, 주문은 낮 12시부터 밤 11시 30분까지 가능하나 일부 매장의 경우 영업시간 사정에 따라 다소 주문이 제한될 수 있다.
bhc 관계자는 “자사 앱을 이용할 경우 가맹점에서 수수료를 추가로 부담하지 않아 가맹점주 수익에 도움이 되는 측면이 있어 점주분들께서 자사 앱 행사를 선호한다”며, “가급적 자사 앱 행사에 더 많은 관심을 갖고 가맹점과의 상생을 위한 고민과 노력을 지속적으로 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Chicken brand BHC has also jumped on the Netflix cooking competition program “Black and White Chef” bandwagon.
On November 7, BHC announced that it will hold a “Black and White Chicken War” event for customers using its app, offering 2,000 won ($1,000) off four of its popular chicken dishes throughout the month of November. The offer is aimed at reaching out to younger customers in a fun way, reflecting the survival concept of the recently concluded program.
According to BHC, Jaya's hidden cilantro menu will feature the 'Flavor Chocking,' which has an excellent balance of 'sweet and salty' (sweet + salty), and the spicy 'Hot Fried Chicken,' which has been growing in popularity since this year, while the opposing star menu will be the 'Gold King,' which has a deep and clean sauce, and the 'Fried Chicken,' which is the eternal king of crispness.
The event is a relay system starting with 'Taste Chocking', followed by 'Fried', 'Hot Fried', and 'Gold King', and for the month of November, BHC will automatically discount 2,000 won when ordering delivery or takeout from its app.
The discount cannot be combined with e-vouchers or other discount coupons, and orders can be placed from 12 noon to 11:30 p.m., although some stores may have limited hours.
A representative from BHC said, “When using our app, merchants do not pay additional fees, which helps merchants' profits, so merchants prefer our app events,” and added, “We will continue to pay more attention to our app events as much as possible and continue to think about and make efforts for mutual growth with merchants.”
