[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 지난 12일 거창소방서 청사에서 거창군, 거창소방서 직원 20여명이 화재진압 장비 제조사와 함께 전기차 화재 진압 장비 사용법 교육 및 진화 시범 연습을 실시했다.
최근 아파트 지하주차장 등에서 발생한 전기차 화재로 인해 큰 피해가 잇따르고 있는 가운데, 거창군은 전기차 화재 발생 사례는 아직 없으나 대비 차원에서 화재 진압 장비 2세트를 구비해 군청과 읍사무소에 비치했다.
이번 교육은 이론과 실습으로 나누어 진행됐으며 화재 대피 훈련 등 기본 교육과 함께 전기차 화재 발생 시 돌파관창, 하부수주관창, 질식소화포, 리튬소화기 등을 활용한 진화 시범이 이루어져 전기차 화재 대응에 대한 이해를 높이는 기회가 됐다.
거창군은 전기차 화재 예방과 대응 강화를 위해 내년에 추가 화재 진압 장비를 구입해 군민의 생명과 재산을 보호할 방침이다.
김성남 환경과장은 “이번 합동 교육을 통해 유기적인 협조 체계를 구축해 전기차 화재 발생 시 신속한 초동 진압으로 2차 피해를 최소화하겠다”고 말했다.
