【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국원자력환경공단(이사장 조성돈)은 15일 경주시 문무대왕면에 위치한 중저준위사업본부에서 중저준위 방사성폐기물 처분시설의 디지털전환 성과 공유를 위한 ‘SMART DAY’행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

공단은 처분시설의 구조물 점검 자동화와 원자력분야 ICT솔루션 사업 등의 디지털 전환을 추진하고 있다.
구조물 점검 자동화는 2021년 산업부와 조달청의 ‘공공혁신 수요기반 신기술 사업화 사업’에 선정된 사업으로, 공단과 ㈜시에라베이스가 공동으로 참여한 사업이다.
처분장 내 구조물에 대한 유지보수 및 건전성 확인 등을 드론으로 실시하는 것으로, 통상 사람이 시행할 경우 일주일 이상 소요되던 업무가 1일로 단축된다.
원자력분야 ICT솔루션 사업은 공단의 디지털기반 업무전환 공모전에서 우수사례로 선정된 사업이다. 이 가운데 디지털트윈 저장관리 시스템은 방폐물 반입 시 방폐물별 저장위치 등이 자동으로 등록되는 시스템이며, 스마트 인수검사 장비는 방폐물의 중량검사 결과와 핵종분석 결과 등을 사진으로 확인할 수 있는 시스템으로 ㈜엔에스이와의 협업으로 이루어진다.
조성돈 한국원자력환경공단 이사장은“스마트한 업무방식과 첨단 기술의 접목으로 지속 가능한 환경 조성과 안전한 처분시설 관리의 이정표가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
